On Wednesday, January 18, 1911, word from Washington, D.C. came westward, informing
Yokel that he had been appointed Postmaster at Wilson, Uinta County, Wyoming by
President Taft.  Yokel owned and operated a ranch, an ice cream parlor, a store, and a
blacksmith shop in that part of the country.  Upon hearing the news, Yokel said that in
return for the honor, he was going to send President Taft tickets to his upcoming bout with
Henry Gehring in Salt Lake City on January 25.  Yokel was the wrestling trainer of the Salt
Lake City YMCA in January 1911.  He was taking the squad to Denver for a tournament in
February.

Among those on Yokel's YMCA wrestling team were Evans, Crabbe, Niblo, Mortenson,
Deane, and Macke.
