On January 6, 1944, the Los Angeles Times reported (1/7/44), Ray Fabiani and his wife Helen Stansfield, an actress, settled their argument over who would receive custody of their two children, Ray Jr. (or Roland) (5) and Helene (7). It was agreed that Helen would have custody, but couldn't move them out of California without Ray's permission. Ray would pay child support. However, six months later on June 23, 1944, Helen was granted full custody after a two day hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court, and wanted to leave the state. Research by Tim Hornbaker |
