In 1902, William Peters claimed to be the champion of North Dakota.  He also claimed
the Minnesota championship.

On Wednesday, November 3, 1915 in Bismarck at the Armory, World Welterweight
champion Walter Miller of St. Paul lost a handicap match to Joe Novak, a local
grappler.  Miller had to beat Novak twice in 90-minutes, and failed to win a fall in that
time.  C.N. Kirk was the referee for the match.  Miller left Bismarck for Billings after
the loss.
