Danny McShain was one of the most colorful and successful wrestlers in history. He was born on October 30, 1912 to Charles and Evelina Savage McShain in Little Rock, Arkansas. Note that the correct spelling of his last name is "McShain," as in some territories, it was spelled, "McShane." When he filled out his Social Security Application on August 4, 1937, he listed his present employer as "R.K.O. Radio Pictures, Inc.," at 780 N. Gower in Hollywood, California. His personal residence at that time was 1504 1/2 2. Adams in Los Angeles. In November 1937, Danny McShain was managed by Richard "Dick" Lane, a Hollywood actor, and future TV wrestling commentator. Lane reportedly also managed Dick Trout and Billy Raborn. |
