The St. Louis Post Dispatch reported on April 30, 1938 that "Mrs. Larry Atkins gave birth to a baby girl in Cleveland yesterday." Atkins was a boxing promoter in St. Louis and was associated with Tom Packs. Atkins and Packs wanted to revive boxing in St. Louis, and asked the Missouri Athletic Commission if they could run a show on April 29, 1938 at the Municipal Auditorium. Research by Tim Hornbaker |
