Al Karasick was the owner of the Honolulu Booking Office for the National Wrestling
Alliance.  He was born in Bobruisk, Russia and was a dancer for Anna Pavlova's ballet
company in Russia before sailing for the U.S. in 1914.  He began amateur wrestling at the
Olympic Club in San Francisco and turned professional in 1921, debuting in Hayward,
California at a carnival.  Nicknamed the "Russian Lion," Karasick was a fierce light
heavyweight wrestler.

Karasick retired from active wrestling in 1936 after a match with Joe Savoldi.
