Morali is billed as hailing from San Diego, being Yaqui Joe’s cousin and also a Hollywood movie actor. He was awarded a belt emblematic of this title by the Western Nebraska Business Men’s Association on July 23, 1922 after triumphing in a tournament. During the tourney Barackman defeated George Kinney-Spaulding, NE; Ed Downs-White River, SD; Joe Stakes-Wheatland, WY; Bessil, Haswell, CO; and Vernon Davis, Glen Elder, KS. He has successfully defended the belt against Billy Wolfe, Gus Pappas and Benny Wilson among others. 3/22/35-AAC Sid Nabors vs. Ivan Vakturoff…Pat “Doc” Mullikin, LA, 190 lbs. beat Harry Cadell. Notes: Mullikin is said to be a jiu-jitsu expert. He is supposed to have been the coach of the Japanese wrestling team during the 1932 Olympics held in Los Angeles. He had been wrestling on Pacific coast for at least a decade. This was his first Texas tour. Mullikin is also said to be a chiropractor. 3/28/35-Fort Worth P.A. “Doc” Mullikin beat Jack Spurgeon. 3/29/35-AAC promoter: Ross Williams P.A. “Doc” Mullikin, 185 lbs., “a master jiu jutsu performer” beat Jack Spurgeon, 190 lbs…. Sailor Barto (Hill) beat Bill Hodge (sub for Ivan Vakturoff. Notes: In the pre-match publicity it was noted that Mullikin has wrestled four times in Dallas, once in Abilene and once in Fort Worth and only Cadell had stayed with him longer than three minutes.
