   -Many years after their 1958 match-up in Omaha, Verne Gagne and Edouard
   Carpentier met in a bout for the AWA World Title at the Auditorium Arena in Denver,
   Colorado on Friday, December 11, 1970.
           -Edouard Carpentier vs. Verne Gagne, AWA World Heavyweight Champion.  
                   Carpentier won by disqualification when he was tossed over the top rope by
                   the champ.
           -Paul Diamond vs. Jack Lanza.  Lanza won by pinfall.
                   -Two-of-three-falls match, 2-1.
           -Joe Blanchard vs. Mil Mascaras.  Mascaras pinned Blanchard.
           -Nick Bockwinkel vs. Wilbur Snyder.  Draw.
           -Pepper Gomez vs. Tiger Tomasso.  Gomez won.

AWA Green Bay
   -A show was held on July 25, 1971 in Green Bay, Wisconsin at the Brown County Arena.
           -Lars Anderson and Larry Hennig vs. Bull Bullinski and The Crusher.  Bullinski and
                   Crusher won.
                   -Bullinski and Crusher were late substitutes for Red Bastien and Hercules
                   Cortez, the AWA World Tag Team Champions.  Cortez was killed in an          
                   automobile accident the night prior in Minnesota.
           -Nick Bockwinkel vs. Paul Diamond.  Bockwinkel won.
           -Jack Bence vs. Don Muraco.  Muraco won by pinfall.
           -Big K vs. Billy Robinson.  Robinson pinned K.
           -Kay Noble vs. Vivian Vachon.  Vachon pinned Noble.

AWA Chicago
   -A big show was held at Chicago Stadium in Chicago, Illinois on Friday, June 25, 1976.  
   During the event was the 15-round closed circuit broadcast fight between Muhammad
   Ali and Antonio Inoki from Tokyo, Japan.  The match ended in a draw.  In addition to the
   Ali-Inoki fight was the closed circuit, boxer vs. wrestler match from New York City
   between Andre the Giant and Chuck Wepner.  Andre won the contest in the third round.
           -Verne Gagne vs. Nick Bockwinkel, AWA World Heavyweight Champion.  No
                   Contest.
           -Bobby Duncum and Blackjack Lanza vs.  The Crusher and Dick the Bruiser, AWA
                   World Tag Team Champions.  Bruiser and Crusher retained their belts.
           -Greg Gagne vs. Bob Orton Jr.  Gagne pinned Orton.

Star Wars ’85
   -A twelve tag team battle royal was held on Sunday, February 24, 1985 at the
   Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, NJ.  The winner was going to get $100,000,
   promoted by the American Wrestling Association, National Wrestling Alliance and by Pro
   Wrestling USA.
           -12-team, battle royal.  Participants.  Jim Brunzell and Greg Gagne, Jerry Lawler
                   and Baron Von Raschke, The Road Warriors, Steve Keirn and Jerry Oske,
                   Kamala and Billy Robinson, Jim Garin and Larry Zbyszko, Bob Backlund and
                   Jimmy Valiant, Jay and Mark Youngblood, Nick Bockwinkel and Dory Funk Jr.,
                   Masked Superstar and Mr. Saito, Nikita Koloff and Krusher Khrushchev and
                   Sgt. Slaughter and Jerry Blackwell.
                   -Slaughter’s partner, Blackwell, was forced to pull out due to injury.
                   -Slaughter won the event alone, capturing the $100,000 prize.

SuperClash I
   -The initial SuperClash show was held on Saturday, September 28, 1985 in Chicago, IL
   at Comiskey Park.  The event was billed as the “Night of Champions.”
           -Stan Hansen vs. Rick Martel, AWA World Heavyweight Champion.  Double-
                   Disqualification.
           -Magnum T.A. vs. Ric Flair, NWA World Heavyweight Champion.  Flair pinned
                   Magnum.
           -Sherri Martel vs. Candi Divine, AWA Women’s World Champion.  Martel pinned
                   Divine to win the belt.
           -Little Mr. T vs. Little Tokyo, AWA World Midget Champion.  Tokyo won by pinfall.
           -Buddy Roberts vs. Mil Mascaras, IWA World Heavyweight Champion.  Mascaras
                   won by pinfall.
           -The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy and Michael Hayes) vs. The Road Warriors
                   (Animal and Hawk), AWA World Tag Team Champions.  Warriors won by
                   disqualification after the Freebirds had used an illegal object to score the
                   winning pinfall.
                   -The Freebirds had left the ring with the AWA Tag Belts prior to the reversal.
                   -The Warriors were managed by Paul Ellering.
           -The Crusher, Dick the Bruiser and Baron Von Raschke vs. The Koloffs (Ivan and
                   Nikita Koloff) and Khrusher Khrushchev, NWA World Six-Man Tag Team
                   Champions.  Nikita pinned Von Raschke to retain.
           -Brad Rheingans vs. Steve Regal, AWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion.  
                   Regal won by pinfall.
                   -Jim Garvin aided in Regal’s victory.
           -Boris Zukhov vs. Sgt. Slaughter, AWA Americas Heavyweight Champion.  
                   Slaughter won by disqualification.
                   -Zukhov was managed by Chris Markoff.
           -The Long Riders (Bill and Scott Irwin) and Harley Race vs. Shohei Baba,
                   Genichiro Tenryu and Jumbo Tsuruta, All-Japan Asian Tag Team
                   Champions.  Baba pinned Bill Irwin to retain.
           -Nick Bockwinkel, Ray Stevens and Larry Zbyszko vs. Greg Gagne, Scott Hall and
                   Curt Hennig.  Hall pinned Stevens.
           -Jimmy Garvin vs. Kerry Von Erich.  Von Erich won by pinfall.
                   -Garvin was accompanied by Precious.
           -Jerry Blackwell vs. Kamala.  Blackwell won.
                   -Special $10,000 Body Slam Match.
                   -Kamala was accompanied by Sheik Adnan Al-Kaissie.
                   -After the match, Al-Kaissie and Kamala attacked Blackwell until he was saved
                   by Baron Von Raschke.

Thanksgiving ’85
   -A special Thanksgiving Show was held in 1985 at the Civic Center in St. Paul,         
   Minnesota.
           -$100,000 Battle Royal.  Scott Hall eliminated both Jim Garvin and Steve Regal, the
                   former AWA World Tag Team Champions, to win the event.
                   -Hall gave the money to charity.
           -Buck Zumhofe vs. Steve Regal, AWA World Junior Heavyweight and co-holder of
                   the AWA World Tag Team Title.  Zumhofe defeated Regal to capture the title.
                   -AWA Junior Title Match.
           -The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry Gordy and Michael Hayes) vs. The Road Warriors
                   (Animal and Hawk).  Warriors won.
           -Jerry Blackwell vs. Michael Hayes.  Blackwell won.
                   -Strap Match
           -Scott Hall vs. Boris Zukhov.  20-minute draw.

WrestleRock ’86
   -Held on Sunday, April 20, 1986 at the MetroDome in Minneapolis, MN.  Waylon
   Jennings performed to the live audience and many fans were calling the show
   “WrestleCountry ’86.”
